June 11, 2026
At a recent meeting, Mike said he was asked about doing a presentation on Space Weather. Specifically, what do all the different indexes represent and what do the values mean. He said he would try to define them and give meaning to actual numbers. He said he would also discuss space weather in general and its affects on propagation.

Summer Field Day
Field day is just around the corner and will be here before we know it. We will talk specifics at our June meeting and make sure everyone is informed on what to expect. Those that ordered Attenuator Kits, will receive them at the meeting. We plan to assemble them on Saturday during Field Day.
Now for the good stuff. We plan to set up on Friday the 26th at around 1400. Those that would like to participate are welcome. We will either grab some pizza or cook some burgers and dogs. If you plan on participating, get there on Friday and stake out your spot. There are 10 acres to set up on, so no one will be turned away.
For those that desire to rough it and still desire the creature comforts, there are plenty of food stops, a grocery store and a tractor supply all within a couple miles of our location. Those coming down 33 from the north will get off at the first Wind Gap exit. Turn Left and come down to Alpha Rd. You will follow it down to the Sunoco Station and then cross Rt 512 where Alpha Rd turns into Mack Road. Follow it down about 2.5 miles and you’ll see the Field Day Banner.
Those coming up 33 will get off at the wind Gap exit at 512. Make a Rt turn and come up to Center Street. Turn Rt and follow it all the way to Mack Rd. Turn Rt and go about 6 tenths of a mile.
For those using Waze or Google Maps, here is the address.

West End Fair
The fair will be upon us before we know it. Once again we will be looking for volunteers to host our booth. A signup sheet will be available at the April meeting. Choose early and pick the day and time slot you’d like to have.
We want to thank everyone that participated last year. We had a good turnout and it looked good to those hosting the fair.
Keep up the good work. We appreciate the interest you’ve shown in the past. As long as we continue to participate, we’ll have no problem keeping our booth, inside the Everett Building.
